I like the baby one better... (sorry, someone had to say it)

actually he kind of sounds like Keith Jarrett - I mean the vocals, of course.

cool stuff... -t

A textbook case in how to not treat an artist fairly or with respect.

It's a testament to her character that Dolores Claman, after not being paid for 25 years and then being short-changed for the next 15 years, was still open to letting the CBC use her Hockey Theme song for $500 per usage. I'm happy that when they tried to give her the shaft one last time, things worked out to have a very different coda.

A superb Commentary! I wish to speak not only for CBC Two but also for CBC One as an individual from Winnipeg. I find it difficult to fathom the mind-set of the individual(s) who are currently setting policy at CBC. The impending loss of Eric Friesen and Jurgen Gothe from CBC Two and the recent departure of Andrea Ratuski from CBC One I, and many others find anathema. What can the Administration of CBC be thinking in allowing the departure of these musically knowledgeable individuals with such a deep appreciation of music. What a hole it will leave in our listening pleasure. We plead...no, demand their retention/rehiring.

I am also concerned as programs such as Eleanor Wachtel's and Bob McDonald's on CBC One have been changed to an unsuitably late hour. At such a time, one is ready to listen to soft music but not programs that require concentration.

I belong to three reading discussion groups; attend the WSO, Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Virtuosi Concert Series and belong to the Joie de Vivre Choir. Individuals to whom I have spoken in all of these groups have requested that I write to express their displeasure at the changes that are being made to CBC programming.

Perhaps, Cross Country Check-up might host a Sunday afternoon program on the topic of changes to CBC and the President of CBC could be present to hear the opinions of others in the Country on the topic.
